ChatGPT
Connect Palim as a custom ChatGPT app with OAuth and OIDC disabled.
ChatGPT requires a plan or workspace where Developer Mode and custom apps are available.
Create the connector
- Open Settings → Apps → Advanced Settings.
- Enable Developer Mode.
- Choose Create app.
- URL:
https://api.usepalim.com/mcp. - Authentication: OAuth.
- Open the advanced OAuth settings and disable OIDC enabled.
- Create the app and complete sign-in and authorization in your browser.
OIDC must be disabled
With OIDC enabled, the connection can fail with “Authorization Request Expired” or “Token exchange failed.”
Use Palim in a chat
Connecting Palim in Settings is not enough. Type @ in the chat composer, select Palim, and then enter your request. You must do this for every new conversation.
Personalize the behavior
Use global Custom Instructions for an account-wide Palim rule or Project Instructions for one project. The instruction makes proactive retrieval and checkpoints more likely but does not activate the Palim app itself. Copy the template from Prompts and personalization.
Test
@Palim Palim HelpIf ChatGPT cannot see any tools, remove the app, recreate it with OIDC disabled, and add it to the chat again with @Palim.
